Mona – ‘Mona’ (Album Release)

Nashville rockers Mona released their self-titled album today on CD, download and limited edition collector’s vinyl (limited to 500 copies.)

There is a current draught in decent rock bands and Mona have timed the release of their album nicely in time for the onslaught of summer festivals that are about to hit muddy fields across the nation.  The perfect tonic for those growing tired of the electronic sentiments of summery indie-pop, Mona offer up an altogether more guitar focused sound.

The effortlessly cool Ray-Ban wearers dish out anthemic tracks full of swirling promise tinged with punk and classic rock influences.   Check out the 2011 version of ‘Listen To Your Love’ below.

  1. The band has obviously taken the 50’s ducktail and the 80’s Wayfares influence and mixed them quite nicely. I can’t quite put my finger on what makes this tune catchy, aside from the early 90’s alternative sound. Love the site.
