Rizzle Kicks – ‘Prophet (Better Watch It)’

Mixing up a bit of old skool 90s hip hop with electronic indie inflections Rizzle Kicks refer to their sound as ‘indie-hop’ – we like.

The Brighton based duo previously released a mixtape featuring multiple samples from some indie greats (including The Strokes, Larrikin Love and the Arctic Monkeys.) Shortly after the pair started to create their own tracks, releasing a series of budget-but-weirdly-fascinating videos across Youtube.

Rizzle Kicks have steadily grown a reputation in the underground scene as an antidote to the current onslaught of self-aware pop music.  The momentum is growing rapidly and latest offering ‘Prophet (Better Watch It)’ is creating hype across the country. The track has a distinctly British flavour, blending their trademark humor with catchy hooks, funky bass and breezy beats.

Rizzle Kicks are seeping into our collective conciousness with their witty charm and seamless ability to mash up hip hop, indie and pop to create addictively intelligent tracks.
