Flashguns – ‘Passions of a Different Kind’

As former tour partners of Bombay Bicycle Club, you just know that Flashguns are going to spit out some seriously good melodic, angst-ridden indie pop before you’ve even heard it.  That they do, producing a soaring ‘shout it if you mean it’ chorus that is intertwined with jingly jangly guitars in their latest release Passions of a Different Kind. Whilst the London based 3 piece are veterans on the scene, having been around for a number of years quietly chugging away and fine tuning their sound, they manage to muster up feel good tracks with enough quirks to keep things interesting.

The track is produced by Barney Barnicott (Temper Trap / Arctic Monkeys) and  Luke Smith (Foals) which is a pedigree within itself. Taken from their forthcoming debut album, released later this year, Passions of a Different Kind will be lapped up by eager ears following the bands long stint holed up in a studio throughout 2010.

Having recently finished a UK wide tour, Flashguns will be playing a few dates across the rest of the year.  For more information click here.
